sheepskin Bowron has grown to be the symbol of excellence and it all started in 1879 with two brothers, George
and William Bowron. With the dream of starting their own tannery they set sail from Yorkshire to New Zealand.
As they left their homeland and headed for this new colony they had high hopes for their new life.
By 1881, the Bowron brothers opened their Tannery in Christchurch, and a family tradition of excellence in
lambskin tanning began. Their commitment to quality has continued and over 100 years later the Bowron name
